General News The board has decided that the club will be closed July 1st, 3rd and 4th this year. Enjoy the Holiday. At the June General Meeting, Curt Gordon reported that he was rechecking the list of donors for the propane fireplace to make sure no one was left off and would then be ordering the plaque. We should see it soon. Welcome to New Members Gerald Bennett of Langley, David F. Hiestand of Langley, William Jennings of Greenbank, Tim Klopfenstein of Clinton, Stephen Parker of Greenbank, Jerry Ruzicka of Freeland, Bruce Schwab of Coupeville and Cliff Wisman of Langley. Congratulations to
George Worthy on winning the May Birthday
Drawing. At the June General
Meeting, the Little Cat
went to Pete Tulloch. Pete drew Candace Dinovi for the Big
Cat but Candace was not present to take home the $350.00. The Big
Cat will be worth $400.00 for July.
General Meeting, Wednesday, July 9th, 7:30 PM The ranges are open from 9:00 AM until sundown 7 days a week unless
closed for a special function. Don't miss out on the Beer and Brats Shoot on July 5th at ll: 00 AM. It will be run like our regular "meat shoots" with 2 shots per station for a total of 10 but with lots of different colored targets for beer prizes. It should be a fun shoot. There will be a drawing during Seafest for an Elk Hunt in November. There will be an additional four slots available for this same hunt. Mike McInerney has been authorized to act in the sale of these. Each one is available for $1950.00. The guide has been checking out the herds and the word is that the hunts this year should be even better than last year, and they were very good then. Several of our members were on the hunt last year and said it was very well conducted and accommodations were very good and the personnel very accommodating. Congratulations to the 2008 Continental League Team of Harvey Freisen, Mike Hellend, Tom Holum, Glenn Smith and Pete Tulloch for another fine season. The results from the pistol Carnival Shoot, on June 14th were: 25 yard Dart Board - Pete Tulloch, 15 yard Poker Hand - Johan Davis, 25 yard Wheel of Fortune - Mark Kjellstrom, Barricade Shoot - Al Lindell, Cowboy Shoot - Dennis Skog and the High Over All went to Rick Cavanagh. June was a good month with "Swing Again Jazz Band" and the Young Dance Night party on the first weekend, it was bound to be good. On June 14th, we had a private party with the Silhouettes playing. I asked them to come back for the Seafest dinner on August 31st. The club will be closed July 3rd and 4th to give the staff a break and let everyone enjoy the holiday. The ranges will be open for the shooters. The "Swing Again Jazz Band" will not be playing this month. We are looking forward for their return on August 1st. Ann-N-Dean will be playing on July 18th. They had a great turnout in May when they played, so be sure to make a reservation. The Young Dance Night party will be July 19th this month. Thanks again for all the help last month, it was a great success. Make sure you keep August 9th open for our Beef Barbeque. We are having the Wolfman doing the DJ work and, if you have not heard him, you will say you were back in the fifties and sixties. I would like to thank all the volunteers again this month. Without their help this club would not be the same. A special thanks to Steve Mooney and Cindy Freisen for all the time and help they have given to the club.
