This club has been part of South Whidbey since 1937. What keeps it going isn’t dues — it’s people showing up, pitching in, and looking out for each other. Here’s how that happens.

Youth Programs & 4-H

Several 4-H leaders teach and lead weekly activities at the club, covering archery, pistol, rifle, shotgun, and muzzleloader. These programs give kids real skills, real discipline, and a safe place to learn under experienced instructors.

Call Sundown Bova at (360) 221-8494 for more information about joining.

Scholarships

The club awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors whose parents or grandparents are members in good standing. Awards are based on scholastic achievement, financial need, citizenship, leadership, and service to school and community. Applications are due April 1 each year.

Community Events

The club sponsors events that bring the whole island together — the annual Kids Fishing Derby at Lake Albert, the Easter Egg Hunt at the clubhouse (both open to the public), live music, fundraisers, and tournaments throughout the year. Proceeds from youth events support the Holmes Harbor Scholarship Fund.

Volunteer

This is a member-run club. Range officers, kitchen crew, grounds maintenance, membership committee — every hand matters. Whether you can give a Saturday morning or a few hours a month, there’s a way to plug in.
